Hosting The Perfect Sports Party in Your New Atlanta Home

Do you love entertaining but don’t seem to get to do it much unless it is the holidays or some special occasion like a birthday party or a baby shower? Well, if you want people to come over and marvel at your vainglorious Atlanta home more often, a really cool get-together you can host is a sports party. Who wouldn’t want to come over to your house if you had great food, alcoholic beverages, and a humungous television to watch the game on? That would be so inviting that you may have people showing up at your house who you’ve never seen in your life just trying to get in on the action! Well, the more the merrier!

Make Your House Look Good

One thing you want to do to start entertaining at your home is to make sure that you have awesome furniture. After all, your parties aren’t just for the party’s sake. It’s okay to show off your pride in owning your home. Therefore, consider making it a show of all your new gadgets and furniture you’ve acquired for your new Atlanta home. A few good places that you can get some furniture and electronics are Brandsmart, Frontgate, and La-Z-Boy.

Even though your home may be new, it still may need a paint job. So, why not throw on a coat or two to freshen up your entertainment spaces. If you want great results without the lingering smell of paint, consider using paints from Ecos Paints. They have lots of paint choices that don’t have VOCs and their paints are safe to use, even in a nursery.

Get Some Help With Preparing the Food

Every party needs some food. When throwing a sports party, meals can be small, delightful finger foods or they can be big feasts like barbecue and sides. You can cook all the food or have everyone bring a dish and keep track of who is bringing what using an app like Bring It or the website Perfect Potluck. If you think that you are going to be too busy doing other things to try to cook and you don’t want your guest to have to be burdened with bringing food, you can also contact Task Rabbit who can help you set up for the event, cook, and even provide bartending services if you need them.

Where Are The Drinks?

Speaking of bartending, how will you be addressing the issue of alcoholic beverages? Are you going to provide the drinks or should guests B.Y.O.B? This is something you need to decide well before the event. Perhaps you can meet guests halfway by providing sodas and beer. If they want anything harder, they have to bring it themselves. Again, Task Rabbit has bartending services. Therefore, if you think you will have a large group of guests coming, it may be a good idea to get a bartender.

Don’t Forget the Snacks

A sports party just isn’t a sports party without snacks. Make sure you grab a variety of foods that people can munch on before the game and during the game. Chips and dip always are a big hit. Pretzels, fruit, and veggies are a great option to include, too. If you really want to show how diet conscious you are as a host, include healthier snacks.

Games Anyone?

As you await the game time and break for half time, why not have a little fun with the crew? You can play card games, dominos, or play a few traditional board games. One game I like to play that’s an app on my phone is Charades. You can choose from a variety of fun topics to get everyone in the mood for fun and laughter such as Act It Out, TV Shows, or Food and Music. If you want to stick with the theme of the day, you can choose topics such as sports legends, sports teams, Olympic games, and more.

Clean Up Time

So, you showed off your new Atlanta home and you had a good time hosting your first sports party. Now comes the dreaded part: CLEANING. Well, hopefully, you used disposable plates so you don’t have to clean a lot of dishes. If there are some dishes to clean, maybe you can pop them in that new dishwasher you just got from Brandsmart. There may be a few crumbs from stuff your guests dropped on the floor or some soda spills here and there. Luckily, ECOVacs has you covered when it comes to mopping and vacuuming your floors. By the way, remember I mentioned that company Task Rabbit earlier that helps with setting up and preparing food for events? Well, they can help with cleaning, too. If you are too overwhelmed by the mess your guests left behind, contact Task Rabbit for their cleaning services.

There you go! You’ve just had your first sports party! Now, you can enjoy many more of them and other forms of entertainment. For tips on this topic and more, follow my blog. Also, don’t forget to subscribe to my newsletter.
