Have you added a smart thermostat to your Atlanta home yet? Hands down, this is an excellent thing to add to your home. I recently added one to my home, and it is one of the most incredible things I’ve done in a while. Let me tell you why.
I like technology, but I wouldn’t say I’m a technology buff. You probably won’t ever see me out in public about to get into a fight with someone over the latest iPhone. As a matter of fact, my current iPhone is ancient. So, it’s safe to say that I’m one of those reluctant technology upgraders. Friends and family are always quick to show off their latest gizmos while I’m quietly still in love with my old-school stuff. I’m saying all this to say that I was totally against upgrading the thermostat to the Google nest. What if it doesn’t work and we’re in here shivering? What if I don’t have a clue how to use it when it’s installed? These things crossed my mind, and it literally took several months after purchasing it to be brave enough to get it installed finally.
Once it was on the wall, the installer admitted that they weren’t tech-savvy, so I would have to set it up myself. They insisted that it was installed correctly, however. My worst fears were becoming true, but I had to work quickly to get this high-tech gizmo working, or else I would be freezing all night long. I immediately got on YouTube to figure out what to do. Once I got the nest working. I was amazed at how much easier and convenient it was compared to the dinosaur thermostat that was initially there.
Once everything is programmed, using the smart thermostat is super easy. It even allows you to control it through your phone if you are away from the house. This is an excellent feature, particularly if you want to save on energy. When you’re away, you can keep the heat off, and when you are on the way home, you can cut it on so that your place can be warm when you get there. Also, if you have guests who don’t know how to operate your high-tech gadget, you can simply go on your app and program it. This will also keep them from using up too much of your energy while visiting.
If you are thinking about getting rid of your ancient Roman thermostat and joining everyone else in the 21st century, Brandsmart can help. They have various styles of the Google Nest, even one similar to the one I have, ranging from as low as $39 up to about $250.
